How to use the Singapore Salary Calculator — Take-home Pay & CPF

  1. Enter your monthly salary and expected annual bonus.
  2. Choose your status — CPF applies to citizens and PRs only.
  3. Pick your age band to apply the right CPF rate.

Formula used

CPF: ordinary wages capped at S$8,000/month; total wages capped at S$102,000/year. Employee 20% (55 and below), 18%, 12.5%, 7.5%, 5% by age; employer 17% to 7.5%.

Resident tax: 0% on the first S$20,000 rising to 24% above S$1 million, on income less CPF and S$1,000 earned income relief.

Non-resident: higher of 15% flat or resident rates on employment income.

How much CPF is deducted from my salary?▾
20% of your salary if you are 55 or younger, up to the S$8,000 ordinary wage ceiling — a maximum of S$1,600 a month. Your employer adds 17%.
Do foreigners pay CPF in Singapore?▾
No. Employment Pass and S Pass holders do not contribute to CPF. PRs pay graduated rates in their first two years.
Is income tax deducted monthly in Singapore?▾
No. Residents file a return each year and pay tax the following year, often by GIRO instalments. Only CPF comes off your monthly pay.
What is the top income tax rate in Singapore?▾
24% on chargeable income above S$1 million for tax residents. Non-residents pay 15% flat on employment income or resident rates, whichever is higher.
