Record an incoming, in-process or final inspection: each characteristic with its specification, instrument and readings on five samples, OK or not OK, and the lot decision. Free, no sign-up.
A quality inspection report (QIR) records the check of a part, a lot or a delivery against its specification: which characteristics were checked, the limits, what was measured on each sample, and whether the lot passed.
It is used at three points: incoming inspection of purchased material, in-process inspection between operations, and final inspection before dispatch. Customers often ask for the final report with the delivery.
For a lot, inspect a sample instead of every piece. Sampling plans such as IS 2500 (ISO 2859-1) give the sample size and the accept and reject numbers for the lot size and the quality level you agree with the customer.
A reading is only as good as the instrument. Write the instrument’s ID on the report and keep its calibration current: a report made with an out-of-calibration gauge proves nothing.
In Rebota an inspection plan holds each characteristic’s limits; the inspector records the readings and Rebota works out pass or fail from the limits, not from a tick box. Plans can use AQL sampling, results feed SPC charts, instruments carry calibration records, incoming lots wait in a quarantine store until they pass, and a production operation that needs inspection can’t be closed until it does.
