Issue material from the store against a job, machine, site or cost centre, with the quantity asked for, the quantity issued and the batch, signed by the person who took it. Free, no sign-up.
A material issue slip (or stores issue note) records material leaving the store for use: to a production order, a machine, a department or a site. The person who takes the material signs for it, so stock leaves the books at the moment it leaves the store.
It is also how material cost reaches the right job: every issue slip names the order or cost centre that uses the material.
Material not used goes back with a material return note against the same job, so the job is charged only for what it consumed.
Issue first in, first out (first expiry, first out for material with a shelf life), and write the batch on the slip so a quality problem can be traced back to its lot.
In Rebota material is issued to a production order from the batch and store it sits in, or consumed against a project, and unused material comes back with a return against the same order. Each movement posts to the stock ledger of that store, so job costs and stock both stay right.
