How to use the Saudi Salary & GOSI Calculator

  1. Enter monthly basic, housing and other allowances.
  2. Choose Saudi national (by joining date) or expatriate.
  3. Enter years of service for the end-of-service award.

Formula used

GOSI base = Basic + Housing, capped at SAR 45,000.

Employee (Saudi): annuities 9% (or 10% under the new system from July 2026) + SANED 0.75%. Employer: same annuity share + 0.75% SANED + 2% occupational hazards; expatriates only 2% employer.

End of service: half a month's wage for each of the first 5 years, one month for each year after.

How much GOSI is deducted from salary?▾
For Saudi nationals who joined before 3 July 2024, 9.75% of basic + housing (9% annuities + 0.75% unemployment insurance). Expatriates have no employee deduction.
Is there income tax on salary in Saudi Arabia?▾
No. Individuals do not pay income tax on employment income. Businesses pay zakat or corporate income tax and 15% VAT.
How is end-of-service benefit calculated in Saudi Arabia?▾
Half a month's wage for each of the first five years and a full month for every year after, based on the last wage. Resignation reduces the amount depending on length of service.
What changed for GOSI in July 2024?▾
The new Social Insurance Law applies to Saudis joining from 3 July 2024: the annuity contribution starts at 9% each and rises by 0.5% a year every July until it reaches 11%.
